Dr. Hoffman’s fellowship is in sports medicine (arthroscopic surgery of the athlete’s knee and shoulder). In addition, he has also obtained a Certification of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery.
His specialization allows Dr. Hoffman to offer his patients the latest surgical techniques to get them back in the game and to life more quickly.
Dr. Hoffman also performs over six hundred total joint procedures a year and is the only surgeon between the Quad Cities and Omaha to successfully perform total joint replacement procedures in an outpatient setting.
Dr. Hoffman is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a degree in medicine from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He served his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Dr. Hoffman also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
